Day 3 and I'm Desperate!

Day 3 of NaBloPoMo and I've still got a few ideas for the next week but am seriously short of time...which is why today you're looking at a photo of my little patio garden.

When we first saw the house this was a tiny square of patio outside what would become the office. It looked promising enough but was covered in cobwebs and painted a dull beigey pink. As it's a dark, damp area in winter we freshened up the paint work and planted rhodedendrons. At one point I had four large ones in varying shades of pink which have been a joy though two succumbed to the cold unfortunately. Then I went retro and planted two hanging baskets which brought colour into the patio through the summer.

It works quite well, I think.

Thanks for the birthday wishes via my sister's blog! When I read your comment that said, "Thanks for visiting my blog," I thought...wait...I haven't been to her blog..." Then I realized you meant my sister. Anyway...I visited your blog today and am in love! What a tangled web we weave! ;-)

Angela ~ This is just lovely and quite a sanctuary.

A couple of chairs and we'd be having tea and girl talk :)

Happy Friday love,

Your patio is so beautiful! I really am quite jealous right now as it is pouring rain/snow outside right now leading to a very soupy slushy mess!

Hi Angela, You have a nice garden. I have two window boxes one thrives and the other dies. I finally busted the squirrel hiding his stash in my flower box. Mystery solved! Day 3, stay the course.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I think your garden is absolutely beautiful. Next time you're in Rome, you can come by and make my terrace bloom too!

Shhh, Angela. What gives with these asides about rhododendrons dying of cold ? Don't you realize there are millions of folk back in Blighty, slaving their guts out, with a rapacious Chancellor on their backs, all yearning for the day when they can sell up, and move down here to the Riviera with its, ahem, year round warmth and sunshine. Don't destroy their illusion !

Still, it's not in the same category as that mischievous estate agent in the Vieille Ville here (Mr.Levi if you know him). The walls of his office are covered with pictures of Antibes and its port under a thick layer of snow !
